We have bought French furniture for over 30 years and I can honestly say this is the most glorious chest of drawers we have ever purchased and are delighted to offer it for sale. Circa 1890, this chest of drawers is made entirely of solid oak which has an amazing patina.
The shaped top sits above four ornately carved Serpentine shaped lockable drawers, each drawer has a pair of fabulous brass handles and decorative brass escutcheon. The canted sides of the chest are also carved. Recessed panelled sides, shaped central skirt with stunning carvings this glorious French antique chest of drawers stands on two paw feet to the front. This unusually large chest of drawers would grace any home.
