The bookcase made in striking oak and is in excellent condition. The shaped oversailing top rises to a decorative central carving. Below are a pair of lockable doors each door having brass hinges, and brass escutcheons. The doors have a carved recess panel to the base and glazing with decorative ward barring. The doors open to reveal four adjustable / removable shelves. Recessed panelled sides shaped skirt this fantastic French bookcase stands on two carved cabriole shaped legs to the front.
