Description

This stunning large oak Gothic revival hallstand dates circa 1885. This richly carved hallstand is in excellent condition. The hallstand has a tall central mirror set beneath an elaborately carved crest with pierced tracery, quarter foils and defoliated finial. Symmetrically turned columns and carved pointed arch motifs flank the mirror. Turned rails with hanging pegs for shawls and hats. Gothic carved arches sit above a drip tray ideal for umbrellas and walking sticks. The hallstand sits on six turned feet. A rare statement item of quality English crafted Gothic revival furniture.
