Description
This exceptional jupe table made by the renowned Theodore Alexander furniture makers is in excellent condition. Original jupe tables were manufactured between 1835 and 1840 and are extremely rare. Original tables command prices in excess of £400,000.
The swivel action top has eight spin out triangular segments with additional leaves to expand the table.The Jupes is raised on a substantial centre turned pillar, and four turned columns on a concave platform base. The handmade internal capstan action and inset corners are of solid brass construction. Accompanied by a baize lined leaf cabinet with brass carrying handles.
