Epicormic oak comes from English oak trees which have clusters of burr configuration. These do not cover the tree completly but instead often produce an interesting and varied swirly grain. Epicormic shoots arise spontaneously from some oak trees, they are a natural phenomenen and are particularly rare.The oversailing top sits above three drawers, each drawer having a pair of brass handles. Underneath are a pair of smaller drawers, each drawer having a brass handle.
