We are delighted to offer this rare French carved oak dresser with central eight day brass faced clock. The shaped top rises to an ornate central carving. To the centre is a lockable glazed door with decorative carving. This door opens to reveal a working eight day clock. The clock has a brass face with carved spandrels to the corners a brass pendulum and the clock is driven by two brass weights on chains. Open shaped shelving to the sides with recessed panelled back. Each shelving area is flanked by supreme lockable carved panelled lockable door. Each door having brass hinges, key and ornate brass escutcheon. Each door opens to reveal a pair of removable shelves. The base of the dresser has a central bank of four serpentine shaped, carved drawers. Each drawer having decorative brass handle. Either side of the drawers or a pair of lockable carved recessed panelled doors, the doors open to reveal a removable shelf. Recessed panelled sides, shaped skirt with ornate carvings, this stunning French dresser stands on four elegant carved cabriole shaped legs to the front. The dresser is in excellent condition.
