The quality of the bureau is exceptional.
The top has inlaid decoration, as has the bureau throughout. The drop down fall comes to rest on retractable supports. The lockable fall opens to reveal an exceptional fitted interior. The central letter rack with drawers above and below is flanked by a pair of lockable shaped mirrored doors, these in turn are flanked by four stepped graduated drawers, each drawer having decorative brass handle and decorative inlay. The fall has a red leather with gilt tooling writing surface. Below are a pair of inlaid drawers which sit above three larger inlaid drawers, the drawers have decorative brass handles and escutcheon's. The sides also have in lay decoration. This stunning bureau sits on bracket feet.
